If you are familiar with the anime “Haikyuu”, you would know what the word “teamwork”, “Support”, moreover “friendship” means. Haikyuu is a sports anime based on Volleyball with Shoyo Hinata and Tobio Kageyama as the main characters.
The anime has a very unique vibe that fits with the viewer’s mood every time. Not just this, it is also filled with cram-packed players who are aces in their own categories. The main element of volleyball is teamwork, and this teamwork is majorly required between the setter and spiker.
When you fell in love with a certain anime, you naturally feel drawn to know more about it. Today, we’ve made a list of all the Haikyuu characters’ birthdays.
Birthdays In January
January borns are generally talkative and like experimenting with new things. They will keep you entertained and it is difficult to get bored when they are around.
They are a kid at heart and only turn mature when the situation demands. Plus, they are quite adventurous and introduce you to similar stuff as well.
1. January 1st- Asahi Azumane
Asahi Azumane is a third-year student at Karauno High. He’s one of the wing spikers and Ace of the Karasuno High. The title of an “Ace” fits him well since he is very responsible and possesses self-awareness.
Opposite his appearance, he is very kind and gentle. He understands if someone is going through a hard time and tries to help his teammates.
He is goal-oriented. At times he feels insecure but he doesn’t let those feelings of self-doubt carry him away from his actual goal.
2. January 6th- Kiyoko Shimizu
Kiyoko Shimizu is a woman with power and hope. She believes to start something, you need to have a little curiosity. She is a third-year student and manager of the Karasuno High Volleyball Team.
Although she seems to be a cold woman, she is very gentle by heart. She cares for the boys very much and wants the best for them. Therefore, whenever the team feels low after losing a match, she finds a way to boost their morale.
3. January 10th- ittetsu Takeda
As the head coach of Karasuno High, Ittetsu Takeda has a very reliable and modest personality. He is the one who managed to book every practice match for the team in order to get their practices done. He has a very reliable and modest personality. He’s very clumsy at times too but has an optimistic outlook on life.
Ittetsu Takeda is respectful towards others, he always bows before others to have a match with his team. As he takes his job very seriously, he’s seen being firm with the students who are not serious about practicing.
4. January 25th- Rintarou Suna
Rintarou Suna is one of the blockers of Inarizaki High School. Rintarou Suna wins without even trying, his team works super hard while he’s slacking off. He’s very expressive with his thoughts and wishes to find a reason to make fun of Tsukishima.
He’s quiet most of the time but when it comes to advising volleyball, he expresses his thoughts very well.
Birthdays In February
February born are fearless and ‘picky‘.
They will not hesitate to challenge someone even if the odds are against them. Whether it be physical, mental, or emotional strength, they consider themselves equal to men. They will cross boundaries to prove their worth. They don’t socialize with people they don’t know.
5. February 3rd- Sachiro Hirugami
Sachiro Hirugami was a middle blocker at Kamomedai High. He possesses a very calm and stoic demeanor. He doesn’t get distracted easily like other players. He can predict their opponents’ moves and BANG!
He used to be a perfectionist who tried to become the BEST player and would feel guilty about every mistake that he makes.
6. February 15th- Hisashi Kinoshita
Hisashi Kinoshita was a second-year student at Karasuno High. He’s a substitute for a wing spiker in the team. Being a substitute, he doubts his skills constantly and can’t even tell if he’s good or not.
For his team, he’s such a supporter. For instance, when a player in the team gets injured, Hisashi always has their back! Though, he’s very good at ordering his teammates.
7. February 19th- Hayato Ikeriji
Hayato Ikejiri is a wing spiker at Tokonami High Volleyball Club. As for his personality, he seems careless yet handles everything very well on his own.
At first, he wasn’t really passionate about Volleyball, however, after some time it becomes his ambition! Hayato Ikejiri is very supportive of his team members.
Birthdays In March
These are some traits of March-born babies. They are generous, creative, optimistic, and can adapt to any situation. Having mentioned the above distinctive qualities, it goes without saying that these babies will grow up to have other traits as well, that will make them well-liked and appreciated by all.
8. March 1st- Issei Matsukawa
Issei Matsukawa is a third-year student at Aoba Johsai High. He’s one of the middle blockers and his skills are a chef’s kiss!
It may seem like he’s an intimidating individual yet he’s known to be an easy-going person who enjoys good jokes and pranks. He has a high game sense when it comes to narrowing Hinata’s cross courts.
9. March 3rd- Ryunosuke Tanaka
Ryunosuke Tanaka is one of the wing spikers at Karasuno High. As he’s very passionate and EXTRA about everything, it makes him unstoppable. His energy levels are rising to the sky!
He’s very energetic and quite flirty around Kiyoko too. Ryunosuke Tanaka is very loud and ill-tempered. He loses his temper when his opponents are pissing him off or are looking down on his team.
10. March 13th- Akane Yamamoto
Akane Yamamoto is the younger sister of Taketora. She’s a college freshman. Just like her brother, she’s very energetic! Akane is enthusiastic about everything she does and is also known to be quite knowledgeable in the field of Volleyball.
11. March 25th- Akira Kunimi
Akira Kunimi is a first-year student at Aoba Johsei High. Unlike other players, he’s very quiet. Due to his laziness, he’s indifferent yet his competence is second to none during a match.
Akira hates loud and energetic people which is why he doesn’t share a good bond with both Tanaka and Nishinoya. Despite being super lazy, he’s super smart.
Birthdays In April
People born in April are very brave and courageous people. You will find them very outgoing and of strong attitude. It is their courage that derives them better prospects in life. Also, they are very frank and outspoken about their attitude.
12. April 3rd- Shinji Watari
Shinji Watari is one of the liberos at Aoba Johsei High. He’s always smiling and loves being challenged. He’s shown to be very supportive and kind, with his smile he fixes everyone up! He’s a quite tan person of average height.
13. April 14th- Aran Ojiro
Aran Ojiro is a third-year student at Inarizaki High School. He’s one of the top aces in Japan! He’s a very mature individual. Though he thinks that his teammates still lack a lot of things and is always teaching them stuff.
He believes that you don’t need a specific reason to be happy, if you’re happy, you’re happy. He is very straightforward and optimistic even in hard situations.
14. April 15th- Alisa Haiba
Being Lev Haiba’s older sister, Alisa is very lively and bubbly. She’s very innocent as well! Alisa respects everyone and cares deeply for her family members. Though, she’s a bit of a hopeless romantic as well.
15. April 18th- Yuuji Terushima
Yuuji Terushima is one of the captains of the Volleyball teams at Johzenji High! He’s not the type of person to take things very seriously. He’s a childish person yet extremely energetic too.
Yuuji Terushima is a very persistent person as well! Although he thinks that Volleyball is something that should be played for fun, slowly his interest increased and he took it seriously.
Birthdays In May
Strong-willed and deeply emotional, people born in May seem to possess an innate sixth sense that helps them navigate through life. Like April-born people, those born in May can be stubborn, but their critical, systematic ways of thinking help them get stuff done. People born in May often have wanderlust.
16. May 5th- Saeko Tanaka
Being Ryunosuke’s sister, Saeko Tanaka is a very tough girl. She was the classmate of the legendary, “giant”. She’s very loud and extroverted! Her energy throughout the anime is amazing, Saeko gives good vibes.
To match her energy, she’s working with the Taiko Team, which is the team of drums. Saeko is smart since she passed the college entrance exam on her first try.
17. May 20th- Satori Tendou
Satori Tendou is a third-year student at Shiratorizawa. He’s a very able middle blocker of the team and is often referred to as the Guess Monster. Satori is a bit cynical yet he’s very energetic as well!
Most people find him very weird or creepy. As a child, he was picked on for not like to join the team’s practice matches but as he grew up, he polished his skills of middle blocking which raised his confidence.
Birthdays In June
Most people born in June fall under the sign of Gemini, which means they frequently see both sides of an argument. As a result, June-born people are forgiving and generous. Their Gemini-ness, however, means that they also can be indecisive.
18. June 10th- Hajime Iwaizumi
Being a wing spiker from Aoba Johsei High, he’s very able and confident. He’s also one of the childhood friends of Tooru. Even though Hajime Iwazumi appears stubborn, everyone relies on him.
Whenever Oikawa is picking on Tobio Kageyama, he stops him and calls him childish. His firm yet uptight attitude made everyone respect him and look up to him.
19. June 13th- Koushi Sugawara
Koushi Sugawara is one of the third-year students at Karasuno High. When it comes to giving moral support, Sugawara is always there for his team. He fixes everyone up with his smile.
As he’s the vice-captain of the team, his personality is a pillar of support for them. Even if he isn’t a very able setter, he doesn’t give up. And he can easily predict things before they happen.
20. June 21st- Shoyo Hinata
Hinata is the main protagonist of the series, Haikyuu!!. His famous saying is, “I may be small but I can jump”. He’s an averagely heightened boy who can jump very high!
Although his opponents mock him for being so small and playing Volleyball yet it doesn’t stop him from flying high or slaying during the match. He has an energetic personality and is very lively. Overall, he gives very good vibes.

July-borns have charming and interesting personalities. They have good taste in food and music. They tend to find joy and beauty in the small things of life. They are also sensitive and composed.
21. July 20th- Tooru Oikawa
He’s also one of the most skilled third-year students at Aoba Johsei High. Toru Oikawa is also known as Tohru Oikawa in English translation. Even though he’s very flirty which kind of pisses Nishinoya and Tanaka off, he’s a well-rounded player. At one moment he’s cheerful, the other moment, he’s serious.

August-borns are witty, hardworking, and practical. They have an appealing personality too. They are detail-oriented, organized, and practical. They tend to be intelligent and reliable.
22. August 1st- Yui Michimiya
Yui Michimiya is the captain of Karasuno High. She’s shown to be very active all the time and is always smiling. Yui Michimiya is a very determined person who’s always there for her team. She gives motivational speeches to her team as well.
23. August 13th- Wakatoshi Ushijima
Wakatoshi Ushijima is from Shiratorizawa. He’s one of those people whom people look up to. And Wakatoshi Ushijima is highly respected by his teammates! He’s a stoic person who rarely speaks.
He gets very serious and intense when it comes to challenges. Being very confident in his skills, he is sure about his victory during every match. That’s right, Waktoshi Ushijima is one of the most skilled players in Haikyuu!!

September born are loyal, detail-oriented, and have a “methodical approach” to life. They also may be shy. They’re all about balance and fairness, and they are excellent problem solvers.
24. September 4th- Hitoka Yachi
Careful yet cute-looking girl, Hitoka Yachi is Karasuno’s manager. She was chosen by Kiyoko place of her as she was a third-year who was about to pass out. She easily gets intimidated by literally everything! She got intimidated by Tanaka’s energy and all the other team members too.
Hitoka apologizes a lot to everyone when she acts this way showing that her manners are on another level! She seems to underestimate and doubt herself very much and thinks that she’s incapable. However, the team loves her for trying so hard.
25. September 20th- Koutarou Bokuto
Koutarou Bokuto is a third-year student at Fukurodani Academy. He’s known as one of the top aces. As for his personality, he’s a playful person. He’s very extroverted and loves talking to others.
It’s like he expresses himself very well. However, everyone thinks that Bokuto is rather an ignorant person for being so prideful.
26. September 27th- Kei Tsukishima
Kei Tsukishima is one of the middle blockers at Karasuno High. Tsukishima is very blunt due to his antagonistic nature. He doesn’t show that he cares but he genuinely cares a lot about his team.
Whenever someone does something hilarious, he’s always laughing at the back and makes sure that nobody’s looking at him.
Birthdays In October
October borns are very warm, friendly, and kind. They do not like to be in anybody’s bad books and thus try and make efforts to be friendly and nice to everyone they deal with. Those who are born in this month are kind friends and above all good and decent souls.
27. October 5th- Atsumu Miya
Atsumi Miya is a starting setter for School’s Volleyball team. He’s known as Japan’s BEST setter and server! Atsumu is an out-going person with a lazy smile on his face. He’s shown to be a perfectionist who has high standards for him. He does everything for his sake, just to make himself proud.
28. October 10th- Yuu Nishinoya
Nishinoya has served as the libero for the team. He’s very skilled when it comes to saving the team from an “out”. Nishinoya is a very bright person who loves endless talking. Overall, the energy around him is great.
29. October 16th- Kenma Kozume
Kenma Kouzume is from Nekoma High School. He’s known as the heart and brain of the team. He doesn’t express emotions and we see a constant expression on his face all the time. He rarely loses his cool and is composed mostly.
Birthdays In November
People born in November are usually calm and can control their emotions unless they are provoked to the maximum. They will try their best not to have an outburst. They hardly ever get angry and annoyed but if they have ever snapped at you, then you probably did something bad in your life to deserve that.
30. November 10th- Tadashi Yamaguchi
Tadashi Yamaguchi serves as one of the pinches in Karasuno’s Volleyball team. He’s a demure person who relies on others mostly. He relies a lot on Tsukishima. Tadashi is a nice person who likes to throw jokes and make everyone around him laugh.
31. November 17th- Tetsuo Kuroo
Tetsuro Kuroo is one of the middle blockers at Nekoma High. He’s the person who’s protecting Kenma all the time since he gets distracted very easily.
He takes good care of Kenma and makes sure that he eats his meals on time! Yet his scheming personality makes him an expert when it comes to playing Volleyball.

Those born in December are known to be extremely generous, idealistic, and downright hilarious. They are responsible, disciplined, and masters of self-control.
32. December 5th- Keiji Akaashi
Keiji Akaashi is one of the second-year students at Fukurodani Academy. He’s the vice-captain of the team and a great setter as well! Keiji Akaashi makes sure that he doesn’t express a lot of his emotions.
Therefore, he’s quiet most of the time. He’s a careful individual who makes sure that everything’s on the track.
33. December 22nd- Tobio Kageyama
Tobio Kageyama is one of the most skilled setters. He devotes himself completely to anything he does. And he loves working hard too! Whenever his team is slacking off, he gets pissed and asks them to practice.
Kageyama is the perfect example of a TSUNDERE. He might not show it but he cares deeply for his team, especially for Hinata.
34. December 31st- Daichi Sawamura
Daichi Sawamura is the captain and wing spiker of Karasuno’s volleyball team. He’s one of the sweetest guys in Haikyuu!! Daichi is understanding and responsible. He’s very patient but at times he has a firm attitude to intimidate his team members to work hard.
